HootnHowl

Follow the adventures of a Midwestern girl and her quiet but creative life. Read poetry, read opinionated posts on just about anything, and get back to nature with her as she goes about her daily rounds. "my small, mortal eyes can see Eternity/ in the clouds that dissolve and then regroup endlessly"--C. Hynde

Do you know what these are?

Look closely. If you were ever in the Marching 100, you may remember what these are. Still confused? Spats! To be precise, spats dating back to the Civil War era. They're wool and have little buttons down the sides and straps that buckle underneath. Will look cute with all my boots.
